On the morning of April 14th, 2011, the opening ceremony of Life Sciences Institute (LSI) was held at Zijinggang Campus, Zhejiang University. Professor Wei Yang, president of Zhejiang University, Professor Mingjiang Ni, vice president of Zhejiang University, Professor Xin-Hua Feng, director of LSI, and Professor Kun-Liang Guan, co-director of LSI, inaugurated LSI together. The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Zhaohui Wu, the vice president of Zhejiang University.
Professor Fuchu He, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zihe Rao, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Anming Meng, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Xiaodong Wang, Member of the America National Academy of Sciences, Professor Yi Rao, Dean of College of Life Science, Peking University, Professor Ye-Guang Chen, Deputy Dean of College of Life Science, Tsinghua University, and Professor Tao Xu, Director of Institute of Biophysics, attended the opening ceremony.
