Our major research goal is to elucidate the physiological role and underlying mechanisms of cytokine signaling and innate host defense in modulation of tumorigenesis and tumor progression. Particularly, it is our main interest to understand how cytokine signaling and innate host defense coordinately regulates the initiation and resolution of cancer immune response and metastatic behavior, and ultimately, to facilitate the developing of cures for cancer and inflammatory diseases. |
Our current focuses: |
1) Key signaling pathways in regulation of cancer immunology and cancer metastatic behavior; 2) Novel regulators of innate antiviral responses; 3) Signaling regulation of homeostasis of tumor-initiating cells (or CSCs). |
