In the future, we will continue the research on structural and functional study of riboswitches. Some riboswitch classesare promising novel targets for developing new antibacterial drugs. We will extend our research with various high-throughput screening (HTS) methods to discover new riboswitches-based antibacterial drugs. We will also develop biophysical approaches to study RNA biochemistry, including native expression of RNA, functional study of catalytic RNA and structural dynamics of RNA. Besides, We will focus our research on the structural study of multi-protein-RNA complexes such as these involved in virus RNA export and transport which are critical in the virus life cycle.
