Introduction of LSI "Basics in Becoming a Biologist" Course

Life Sciences Institute (LSI) at Zhejiang University, established as an “academic special administration zone” in 2009 aiming to build a landmark biomedical research powerhouse in China, is providing an internationally demonstrated graduate training program to students.

To broaden students’ most-needed fundamental knowledge of biomedicine and biomedical research and to keep them abreast with the current development in biomedical research, the graduate program at LSI has set up a “Basics in Becoming a Biologist” course. In the format of lectures, intramural and extramural faculty members give lessons on topics of their own specialties covering areas from molecules to animals, from signal transduction to cancer biology, from immunology to structural biology.

The course is open to all graduate and undergraduate students at ZJU. It meets once a week.
