报告人简介：

       Ascel Samba Louaka博士分别于2006年、2009年在法国萨巴蒂尔大学获得硕士及博士学位。2010年至2013年于法国巴斯德研究所从事博士后研究，2013年至今在法国普瓦捷大学生物化学学院EBI实验室获得终身职助理教授。曾获Doctoriales Midi-Pyrénées最佳学术交流奖，获ANR等多项科研基金的支持。

      Ascel Samba Louaka博士主要研究嗜肺军团菌和其宿主卡氏棘阿米巴变形虫的相互作用关系，如感染后阿米巴虫的命运以及嗜肺军团菌对细胞周期和繁殖的影响。先后在PLOS Pathogens、Scientific Reports、Cellular Microbiology 等国际知名期刊发表论文14篇，同时为Virulence、Environmental Research 等期刊审稿人。

讲座摘要：

Legionella pneumophila, the causative agent of Legionnaires' disease, is a facultative intracellular bacterium that grow in heated water system. L. pneumophila is able to invade and multiply into free-living amoebae that offer protection to this bacterium from being destroyed by biocide. Since several groups study the ways used by L. pneumophila to resist to amoebal destruction, I will direct my seminar on the fate of amoebae after the infection. Does the host cell cycle or multiplication disturbed by L. pneumophila?
