Welcome to the XIA Lab, an interdisciplinary scientific laboratory based on Life Science Institute Zhejiang University. Our research focus on the differentiation of germ cells, tissue morphogenesis and mechanical regulation in the developmental process. The laboratory utilizes advanced optical and electron microscopic imaging, image analysis techniques, combined with molecular biology and biophysics methods, to explore the cell dynamics, plasticity, tissue morphogenesis, and the mode and function of mechanical forces during the development, regeneration and disease processes of the reproductive system. We also aim to develop new methods for measuring and intervening in tissue mechanical forces, and to discover new mechanisms for cells to sense, transmit and respond to mechanical force signals. These efforts provide important theoretical basis for the diagnosis and treatment of related reproductive disorders.
